End Of The Month

My tourney cash rate has plummeted and I've dropped down the $10K Skill League. I seem to be going out at pretty much the same time in every tourney, adn not due to bad luck, but perhaps imapatience... I'll have to think about it.

I need to play more HU games. I've only made about 1k this month. The net has been crap, but really the problem is I havent won any of the 19 tourneys I cashed in and I haven't played well enough HU matches, or enough HU matches.

I also do badly when I play too many tables. The most successful formula is 1 HU match and one tourney. So I'll try and stick to this and increase my winnings. The temptation is to play more tourneys as then I can get more league points. But I have to accept that this is counter productive.

Came 3rd in the $30 for a $200+ payday and won 2 hu games.

I lost a few tourneys though becuase I was playing too many. I think 2 is my natural limit...But who knows.

Net was shit again, but just managaed to play despite the timeouts.

Beginner

Some days I play poker like a beginner. Lost 3 tourneys and a hu so I went flying. Down $70 and a heap of points in the 10K skill league. Too much sleep and I play badly.

Net Loss

Another day of awful awful net. Lost $15 in a tourney entry as I wasn't able to play the event. Later in the day after the net had returned (it was out for hours) I played the $3 and cashed (4th out of 30). Obviously I only played for the points and hopefully they'll boost me a little. If I had good net I honestly think I could have a serious shot at the top 3 in the 10k skill league. I'll see how it goes.

Went flying. Had 2 very nice flights. Wind was crossed so approached the top landing from the other side of the landing zone.

Current roll is $668. Buggered if I know how much that is as Geoff has borrowed $250 this month..

Return of The Empire

Well my hu is going crap so I've layed off them and are playing just tourneys. I've done ok, cashing 4 times in the last 2 days. No wins which is a concern, but I guess I play to cash, not win. I'm sitting 9th on the 10k skill league and hopeful I can keep climbing. Current roll $766 which is really $816 as Geoff borrowed $50 so I'm back to even after the damage from the last 2 days.

The Pain

Lost about a million hu games and 3000 tourneys. Oh the pain!
Actually cashed in the $2 rebuy and came second in the $15 for 90. That still left me down a fortune. As usual lost my internet connection to gift some arsehole $30. The pain, oh the pain. Current roll $652.. down $85.

Hmm

Crap day. Took some bad beats. Played too many tables when I woke up tired and wasn't playing at my best. Lost $90. Wasn't fun. Will do better tmw.

Bad News Good News

Such a crap internet conn today. Lost a heads up due to it and couldnt play my tourney. Got back in for the 5th time I had 4k.. After a suckout I managed a miracle 2nd. So instead of losing $55 I actually made about $60 for the day. Was super stoked to cash there.

Splat

Didn't cash in the $2 rebuy or $15. Should have cashed in the rebuy but really got impatient when I heard the wind was good and probably threw my chips away when I shouldn't have. Up about $60 after HU. Geoff won the $2 rebuy and picked up $200.. handy.

Current roll is $764 up $51 from yesterday (Geoff sent me $200)

Saw a guy have an accident at Timbis today. He was inexperienced and stallled his glider from more than 10 meters up. He dropped like a rock and hurt his back pretty badly. They had to get the ambulance for him.

Late Night Poker

Won two $30 hu games early in the morning, then won the $10 tourney (only 10 people so payout $50). Despite that ended up only even for the day after losing a heap of hu games. I wasn't playing great and was super unlucky. Ended up even for the day on $506 (cashed 5k). A travesty considering how much I won.

The next day I played all the tourneys I could. Came 8th in the $2 rebuy. Didn't win much cash but won some useful 10k skill league points. Went out 5th in the $15 after thinking I had 2 pair when I only had 1. Guy chased me all the way and hit an overcard on the river. GRR Roll is $513, up $7 for the day but I played a lot of tourneys in which I almost cashed.

Surabaya

Off to Surabaya in a few hours. Looking forward to seeing Geoff and Stewart and upgrading the computer. Apart from that it'll be a shit trip no doubt.

I'm close to a cashout. A day or two at most. It'll be good to get some money into the bank accounts and get a deposito going. That'll safeguard the money so it can't be touched. Also good to get my free $150 of course.

Current roll is $5160. Up $30 on yesterday. I crashed out of the $2 rebuy 23rd after being chipleader after the break. Didn't do much wrong.. just no cards and couldnt buy any boards.

Shot Myself In The Foot

I'm pissed at myself. If I'm trying to scrape a living out of this I REALLY have to do better. MUCH MUCH better.

So I'm a lock for at least 4th, if not 3rd. All I have to do is wait 20 mins and a couple of guys will be out. But not me, I get busy.. tooling off my chips. Went out 5th for $80 when the very least should have been 4th for $120.. so fucking stupid of me. I just hope I can learn from my stupidity.

Tmw I should be off to Sby to upgrade comp and get my drivers license.

Roll on $ 5130 which is basically the money I lost yesterday back. I could have taken the two days off and been in the same spot. thought cashing twice has got me some nice league points in the 10k skill league. I should be close to the top 20 now.

Cashed in the $2 rebuy but lose $120 in HU matches. Didn't have any luck thats for sure. I must have been tireder than I thought and not playing 100% to lose so many in a row. Anyway tmw is another day

Good Day

Won 3 hu in a row. Played well. Came second in the $2 rebuy or about $120. I'd forgotten what it's like to cash in a tourney, but with such large fields (70-80+) thats not sutrprising.

Went flying today. It was gusty and everyone had left except for Selio (a very nice Brazillian guy who works in Japan). Wed just gone for a walk down the cliff to see the guys fishing at low tide in the gulch. Everyone was gone, the wind was gusty, but we decided fuck it and flew for about 15 mins. Neither of us enjoyed it much, but we were stoked after bottom landing that we actually flew.

Current roll is $4974. Dunno if thats up much over the last few days after all the lending I've done to Geoff.

Frustrating Day

Internet died twice plus I had a pwer failure. Went ahead early about $45 and then ended up even. My fav hand AA vs qj. Flop Jxx.. all th emoney in... turn Q. Just couldnt do much right, it sucked. No paragliding as wind too strong. Couldnt find two cards to rub together as opp after opp came back against me. Tmw should be better.
Geoff borrowed $100 and blew it in ring games. Then wanted another $50. I told him to wait a while.

Reversal

Yesterday I couldn't win a hu to save my life, today I won 4 in a row. Threw away the $2 rebuy with a stupid bluff followed by an all in on AK.. dumb. Had a very playable stack and just needed to show some patience. Lent $25 to Lukeforpres9.. that had better come back, and sent Geoff $50.. he lost a few in a row.

Current roll $4863 (Would be $4933 with the lent money).

No luck

Lost a hu when I had tashaun22 down to 1k.. Just couldnt catch a card above a 4 while he was pushing in a lot. Lost another when the fucking net died.

Went out almost last in the $15. I have DA D6. Flop QD 7D 9D. All the money goes in. River pairs and I'm out vs QQ. A tough beat.

Went out 7th in the $2 rebuy. AT vs A6... no luck all day.

ROOPS

Made two dumb errors today.

1. I trapped a guy against a cliff when I should have flew left. He was on his second flight and I felt like a dumbarse after. I certainly wont ever make that error again.

2. I pushed all in against 1 limper with JJ. Had a decent stack and he was chipleader. Should have raised 1/4 of my stack and then pushed in on the low flop. He had AQ and hit on the turn.

Finally got my groundhandling under control. Thank goodness I can go to the ridge and not feel like a complete tool at takeoff time.

Up $60 today. Won a lot of HU, but lost all my tourneys. Roll $4900. Will be cashing out within the week I hope. As soon as I clear my bonus.

Cool

Won 3 hu in a row so up $57.. then lost a couple of tourneys. Ended up $40, but I spent most of the day flying so it was ok.

My groundhandling was awful, so after my first flight I headed to the training hill and learned how to do the A and D riser method. That seemed to sort out my problems and I had a successful launch after that. I think I've got it sussed now.

Went out to dinner with Iin and the boys. Had a lukewarm steak, but Iin liked her steak and the boys enjoyed pizza. Looks like we'll go back to La Porchetta again. Prices were very reasonable for Bali.

I'm starting to get keen on the soft play centre again. I guess I have to get a house first though..

Frank

Finally had a little luck in a tourney and won the $2 rebuy for $130. Also came fifth in the $5 tourney for $25. Those were pretty much the last two tourneys of the month for the 10K skill league and the results moved me from 23rd to 10th. SO I went from being lucky to make $50, to cashing $200.

Went and bought a little puppy for the boys. A little mangy Bali dog. The boys are thrilled. Iin is seriously pissed. Hopefully she'll calm down over time.
