Running Goot

UB $50 Hu games are so soft its unbelievable. I've averaged
about $90 a day for the last 9 days because I make $90 or so
then stop playing. Really amazingly awful players. Today I made
$113. Yesterday $85. The day before was $32 and before that
$135..

I feel guilty for not playing more. I actually think if I ground it out
I could average $200 a day. But I'm gonna take it easy and just stick
to $90 a day.

Bima just dropped by and gave me my Singkarak T  shirt and certificate
and DVD. He and Bodhi are going flying in Sulawesi in a comp they have
there. I really want to go but have to think about money. I'll see what happens.

Anyway apart from Neteller freezing my account all is going well. I have a few
months before Singapore... no money, but I'm making money so easily on UB I'm
not stressed.

Nyepi Madness

Was stuck inside the house thanks to Nyepi... hiding out in the "batcave"
all day furtively watching and sometimes playing poker.
Saw some sick NL hu action.. 100k pots..
Managed to win 2 $50 then when I was bored played a donkey in a $30.
He was  a complete moron so I played him again after I beat him the first time.
This time he tightened way up and was very difficult to beat. Eventually
I pulled it out. Then traded some of my UB freebie points to play the $3 rebuy
and $1 rebuy. Managed final table in the $3 but didn't get paid. Came second
in the $1 omaha hi rebuy for $55. So a total for the day of $198.
After losing $600 earlier in the week I've won $460 over the last 4 days. Hopefully
I'll knock off the rest of the deficit tmw.

Variation

Well a couple of things to post.

I see from my earlier posts that I thought I could play limit. While my play improve, I certainly still COMPLETELY SUCK at it.

I've been playing hu on UB. I've had a nice run until today, where I had a few AWFUL beats. Luckily i started playing the Bugsys Triple Plays. I mad up the $90 I lost on UB and an extra $60. They are pretty damm soft. I think I might have a crack at the SitnGo League next month. There's 1k for first place, honestly I think I could have a decent crack at that playing the Triple Plays.

I'll see how it goes.

I've been too lazy to update the blog in ages. I'll try and keep a more accurate record of poker life before I start work at OFS in August.

I've just had the worst run of beats in my entire life.
All in one day.
Just an amazing amazing run of horrible luck.

I'm in complete shock.

I'm completely shelshocked and stunned.

I FINALLY GET LIMIT!!!

After years and years of playing poker I finally get limit.
WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!!
Tournaments I understood from the word go and I've
always made money from them. 
Heads up I was naturally good at from the start.
But limit has always been a fucking mystery to me me.
I read WLLHE by Lee Jones (twice). I played and lost
and lost and... lost. Then finally one day I sat down and
the game clicked. I knew how to win at it. Bizarre but true.
Whereas before I'd be pushing my AK into 5 opps on a 
low board and wondering how I lost money, now I check 
the flop and get out when I miss (and have no backdoor draws).

I've taken a lot of bad beats, but am still ahead. It feels great to 
know that now I can make money from the most popular
of all holdem games. I felt like a retard only winning in hu when 
I knew that there were hundreds of thousands of AWFUL players 
playing limit. Now I can get in there and relieve them of their uneeded
extra cash.

Furthermore!! I've opened up the bonus whoring angle!! Now I can play
limit I can reap the bonus whore rewards. That Neteller account is going to
get a working. All I have to do is build up my Stars roll.

Starburst

Well I've pretty much given up on HU at Stars, just too much luck. 
I'm back at Bugsys and making enough to survive till I get a job.
If I'd have never left Bugsys I'd have trickled along at $1500 a
month and probably wouldn't need to work. Honestly I could stay
at Bugsys and make a go of it, but that leads me to a future where I'll
have to work every day, where I'll never be able to retire or to buy a
house.

So I'm going to apply for a high paying job in the UAE. There I'll be
able to save money, learn BJJ and hopefully also paraglide. I'm just
waiting for AP to get back to Singapore and fix up my CV so I can
send it out and get a high paying job.

I took my last few dollars at Stars and have started playing limit.
I know I swore I'd NEVER play limit again, but I think I understand
the game a little better now. I'm holding my own and playing quite well.
